Terms, privacy, and the studio’s position.

Disclaimer

Norway by Design is an independent planning studio. The concepts, briefs, reviews and consultations we produce are written planning documents — they are not confirmed bookings.

Hotels, lodges, transport, and experiences referenced in our materials are indicative. Availability, pricing, and terms are confirmed with each supplier directly. Where we introduce you to an operator or property, the contract for those travel services is between you and that supplier. The studio is not a party to those contracts and does not hold rooms, transport, or guides on your behalf.

Terms of Use

By using this site you agree that information presented is for planning purposes. Pricing, availability, and itinerary details are indicative and subject to confirmation with suppliers. Final terms of any travel arrangement are governed by the agreement between you and the supplier.

The studio’s liability for the planning service is limited to the amount paid for that service. Travel briefs and concepts that materially miss the journey you described will be revised at no charge or refunded under the terms set out at the point of purchase.

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. To request changes to your data, or to ask a question about the studio, write to studio@norwaybydesign.com.

Privacy Notice

What we collect

The information you submit through our quiz and concierge form: your name, email, country, an optional mobile number, and your answers about the journey you have in mind. We use it to prepare and send your First Shape and to respond to your enquiry.

Why we hold it

We process your data on the basis of your consent (for editorial emails) and the performance of a contract or pre-contract steps (for paid services and quotation work).

Who processes it on our behalf

We share your data only with the service providers needed to deliver the product:

• Supabase — secure database hosting.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
• Stripe — payment processing for paid services.
• Plausible — privacy-respectful analytics.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.

Analytics and cookies

We use Plausible Analytics, which does not set third-party advertising or tracking cookies and does not require a cookie banner. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Write to studio@norwaybydesign.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Retention

We retain quiz and concierge submissions for as long as needed to fulfil your enquiry and for our records of the engagement, then delete them. Marketing data is held until you unsubscribe.
